Welcome to Woodlake

The Woodlake community began with Woodlake Section One dedicated 1 October 1976 and recorded in Bell County records and contained the original dedication and covenants.

Woodlake Development Company established in these covenants the original Association titled Woodlake Property Owners’ Association.  It was also specified that any future developments of the original survey would also become part of the Association.  The association was officially incorporated 1 Nov 1984 as “Woodlake Property Owner’s Association, Section One, Inc.”

Woodlake Development Company then sold 25 acres to Cliffs of Woodlake Joint Venture.  From this Cliffs of Woodlake and Cliffs of Woodlake Phase II were born.

Cliffs of Woodlake was dedicated 0n 29 April 1992.  Cliffs of Woodlake Phase II was dedicated on 30 September 1994 and it also became part of the association.  Although the developer created new covenants for each development, they honored the original declaration and made both developments part of the association.

Woodlake Development Company sold 38.01 acres to another developer along with intended binding covenants on 3 June 1993.  Part of this land was later dedicated as Woodlake Section Two on 26 March 1998.  The developer however did not honor the original covenants and created their own.  The new developer also chose not to make Woodlake Section Two members of the association.

These developments resulted in a small community of 61 homes located on the South side of Belton Lake overlooking Westcliff park.

Our association is managed by volunteers.  The board is comprised of 6 members and the Architectural Control Committee is comprised of 3.

This means 1 in every 6-7 homes has a family member that serves the community.

If you're looking to live in an inclusive community with a feel for past decades when everyone knew their neighbors.  A place you could walk alone at night and children played in the street;

 Woodlake is for you!
